You’re super busy, we know how that goes! With Father’s Day around the corner, we thought we’d share some fun and creative ideas that don’t have anything to do with ties or socks. 🙂
Great Father’s Day Gifts from Kids
- a hand-made “I’ve-Got-This-Chore” coupon, good for 1, 3 or 5 redemptions (or an age appropriate number of your choice). Even toddlers can help Daddy by taking out small bags of trash, weeding the garden, cleaning up their room, or putting their toys away. Older kids can help with yard work, wash a car, sweep a patio or driveway, load a dishwasher, watch a younger sibling, etc.
- if Dad likes to cook, gifts can range from buying a few bottles of his favorite BBQ sauce, to a new cookbook or grill equipment. New gear or supplies are also great picks for golf, camping, fishing and boating enthusiasts.
Super-sized Father’s Day Gifts
If you’re pressed for time, no worries. Other great gift ideas include getting tickets to Dad’s favorite band or show! There are lots of terrific performances scheduled to happen in the Hudson Valley and beyond over the next few months. Locally there’s a full roster at The Turning Point in Piermont, Antrim Playhouse and The Elmwood Playhouse. Check out Hudson Valley Magazine event listing page, Tarrytown Music Hall, The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, and Bergen PAC too!
Of course we’d be remiss if we did not encourage you to Shop Local! Rockland County is home to an amazing array of awesome shops and restaurants. At down to earth, we’ve got a few cool Father’s Day gift ideas too – including comfy Adirondack Chairs, soothing wind chimes and garden fountains, gas fire pits, chaise lounges, and of course everything Dad needs for gardening and outdoor entertaining in style, including outdoor bars and bar carts!
To all the Dad’s, we wish you a very happy, relaxing Father’s Day!
